RealValue is a web portal for people who are looking for real estate to buy, rent or invest.
My goal was to prepare a modern, easy to navigate portal that provides a unified and simplified user experience so that inexperienced clients won’t be overwhelmed.
I achieved that by working closely with clients, preparing UX workshops, wireframing sessions and, in the end, interactive prototypes, that helped to prepare documentation and implementation.
Based on the workshops three main personas were prepared:
All of those personas had to have very unified access to the features of the portal, however, a user may easily change his "role".
The application design process was:
An advanced search engine was developed to meet the needs of all user personas. The search functionality was informed by competitive research in user experience and tailored use cases based on these personas.
Results can be displayed in either a grid or list view, with the list view designed to show more data. The grid view is set as the default for mobile devices.
I greatly valued the opportunity to contribute to such a large and complex project, which required not only delivering effective UX design but also reviewing the stakeholders' mission statement and assisting them in refining their business model.
